CoreWeave Legacy CoreWeave Compute Services AI infrastructure AI Development n/a 2025 2025
In 2025, Aston Martin F1 Team deployed CoreWeave Compute Services as a strategic AI infrastructure engagement to bring accelerated cloud compute into its engineering workflows. The CoreWeave Compute Services implementation targets the team car design and simulation stack, with an explicit objective to move on premises compute to a cloud environment and to reduce hardware constraints encountered in high fidelity design cycles. The implementation centers on accelerated computing capabilities typical of AI infrastructure, including GPU based cloud compute pools provisioned for simulation, computational fluid dynamics assisted design, and machine learning driven component optimization. CoreWeave positioned its platform as purpose built for accelerated computing and announced UK data center capacity using Nvidia H200 GPUs in Digital Realty and Global Switch locations to host the compute resources supporting these workloads. Operational scope is the Aston Martin Aramco engineering group based at Silverstone in Northamptonshire, where the partnership is expected to support car design, simulation pipelines, and the recently commissioned wind tunnel now named the CoreWeave Wind Tunnel. The multi year agreement designates CoreWeave as the team Official AI Cloud Computing Partner and includes assistance moving the team on premises computing infrastructure to CoreWeave cloud compute to enable cloud native design workflows. Governance for the program is organized as a long term commercial partnership between Aston Martin F1 Team and CoreWeave, with phased cloud adoption of engineering compute workloads and formal branding of the wind tunnel facility. The program is positioned to address stated aims to eliminate hardware constraints and shorten component design cycles, and it sits alongside prior regulatory context where the FIA previously required homogeneous processing units for rCFD solver work and did not allow the use of GPUs.
