Oracle Legacy Oracle Cloud ERP ERP Financial ERP n/a 2020 2021
In 2020, ATCO Gas implemented Oracle Cloud ERP as part of an ERP Financial initiative to consolidate financial and quote to cash capabilities. The Oracle Cloud ERP deployment was positioned to support non-tariff billing and customer care workflows within the broader customer information system program that included parallel initiatives for tariff billing and distribution system configuration information. Oracle Cloud ERP was configured to deliver core ERP Financial capabilities including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing and revenue orchestration aligned with Quote to Cash functional flows. The implementation workstreams emphasized configuration for billing and invoicing tied to customer care processes, while coordinating with metering and asset management projects to ensure transactional alignment across billing and service order lifecycles. The Oracle Cloud ERP instance was integrated into a multi-application ecosystem, explicitly linking to Salesforce for Quote to Cash orchestration, to Oracle HCM and Oracle OPA modules for workforce and approvals, to Maximo Cloud for asset and field service data, and to Oracle Fleet Services for fleet related transactions. Integration technologies documented in program materials include Oracle Integration Cloud, OCI Streaming, OMFT and SOA, enabling event and file based exchanges between Oracle Cloud ERP and adjacent systems. Governance for the ERP Financial program was executed as part of a three project Customer Information System program, with the Quote to Cash project using Oracle Cloud ERP going live in July 2022. The program also coordinated a separate Workforce Dimensions implementation that integrated to Oracle Cloud ERP modules, and rollout planning focused on aligning finance, customer care and field operations processes to the new ERP Financial controls and transaction flows.

Hitachi Vantara Legacy Hitachi Ventyx FocalPoint Suite Asset Performance Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2018 2019
In 2018 ATCO Gas deployed Hitachi Ventyx FocalPoint Suite, an Asset Performance Management application, to strengthen asset lifecycle management within utility operations. The Hitachi Ventyx FocalPoint Suite implementation was positioned to centralize asset registries and support condition based maintenance workflows across distribution and field operations. Configuration work focused on establishing an asset hierarchy, asset master data governance, inspection and monitoring schedules, and risk based prioritization tied to maintenance planning. The implementation incorporated KPI tracking and orchestration points for predictive analytics and work planning, aligning typical Asset Performance Management capabilities with ATCO Gas operational requirements. The FocalPoint deployment sat alongside a broader IT program that included discrete projects for billing, customer care, and network configuration. The Customer Information System program encompassed Meter to Customer with Oracle CCS and Maximo for tariff billing, Quote to Customer with Salesforce and Oracle Cloud ERP for non tariff billing and customer care, and Distribution System Configuration Information with ArcGIS and Maximo to manage the distribution network and service points. Separately, ATCO Gas completed an ABB Service Suite upgrade in October 2019 to improve dispatch and scheduling, enabling field staff and supervisors to use smartphones and other mobile devices to receive schedules, submit job completion updates, and monitor open jobs and staff locations. Governance followed a program model with an IT Project Manager coordinating sequential projects and cross functional teams across operations, field services, and customer care. That IT leadership subsequently focused on the Quote to Customer program, known as Q2C, with a planned go live in quarter 2 of 2021.
