In 2015 Australian National Maritime Museum implemented Infor SunSystems as its ERP Financial application to centralize finance controls and transactional accounting. The deployment targeted core financial workflows including balance sheet reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable and revenue accounting within the museum finance function.
Configuration work focused on ledger and subledger structures, reconciliation routines and automation of journal uploads through macro-enabled templates. Reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts were completed for the period November 2014 to June 2015 after predecessor staff gave short notice, and management reporting suites were developed and handed over to finance leadership. The team also documented and taught Information Systems the SunSystems Administrator function to institutionalize operational ownership of Infor SunSystems.
The program included a rollout of CBA products following a prior bank tender, aligning bank processing with Infor SunSystems, and assistance with multiple software installations to support end-to-end transactions. Operational coverage included three direct reports responsible for AP, AR, revenue and other transactional entries, and the implementation required regular liaison with external auditors for control validation.
Governance actions emphasized staff development, administrator training and process redesign to shorten month end close, with explicit system improvements and process changes implemented to save time around month end activities. The deployment positioned Infor SunSystems as the finance system for the Australian National Maritime Museum, providing a consolidated ERP Financial platform for accounting, reconciliation and reporting.
