The program targeted core accounts payable and expense management workflows central to ARN’s finance operations supporting radio and digital businesses across Australia.
The Oracle Cloud ERP implementation centered on payables and expense management modules, configuring invoice processing, tax invoice compliance checks, GST handling, general ledger coding, approval routing, and payment scheduling. Oracle Cloud ERP was provisioned to handle invoice entry validation, employee expense capture and coding, and the processing of domestic and international payments plus intercompany transactions.
Operational coverage focused on the Sydney finance team and the centralized Accounts Payable function, with the role of an Accounts Payable Team Lead responsible for end to end management of payables and expense management in the new system. The program included insourcing the payable function from GFS into ARN’s finance organization, shifting operational ownership and vendor relationship management to internal teams.
Governance and rollout were managed with finance process redesign and project leadership embedded within the accounting team, with the AP Team Lead acting as the system implementation lead. The implementation sequence included a planned payables go live in H2/21, and workflows were formalized for invoice compliance, payment runs, supplier queries, and handover to general accounting in Oracle Cloud ERP.
