In 2016, AUTOonline Spain implemented Bonita Process Mining in a project managed by SoftTD@, a Bonitasoft partner, to digitize the transfer process for damaged vehicles to interested buyers on the AUTOonline platform. The engagement focused on applying Process Mining techniques to operationalize and control case handling across the customer service and claims workflows.
Bonita Process Mining was configured to manage incoming mail and to centralize case information, enabling automated alert generation and the ability to detail required actions for each case. Functional capability coverage included mail ingestion and routing, consolidated case records that group emails payment data and participant information, alerting and task orchestration, and multi-user case ownership where each file can be managed by N employees to speed response times.
The deployment created a single management layer across Spain and Portugal for the damaged vehicle transfer workflow, improving visibility into bottlenecks in claims handling and enabling rapid reaction to escalation points. Operational scope targeted customer service and claims management teams, with governance shifting toward centralized case tracking and event-driven alerts to enforce timely actions and handoffs.
Explicit outcomes reported from the implementation included improved file follow-up through information grouping, reduced onboarding time for new staff, improved customer service, visibility of management bottlenecks, and a reduction in headcount on routine tasks with staff reallocated to higher value activities. The Bonita Process Mining implementation delivered a unified operational view and case orchestration that underpinned these benefits.
