| SplashBI | Legacy | SplashBI | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2022 | 2022 |
In 2022 Avail Infrastructure Solutions implemented SplashBI as part of an enterprise application deployment that also included Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle Application Express, using SplashBI to deliver Analytics and BI capabilities across the organization. The deployment was executed while Avail divested from its parent company AZZ, Inc., and the company selected Oracle Cloud Infrastructure for hosting, engaging Apps Associates as the cloud infrastructure hosting and managed services partner.
The implementation followed a two phased approach, with Phase 1 covering EBS, Apex and SplashBI and Phase 2 covering Oracle Enterprise Manager and Disaster Recovery. The technical approach used Oracle Physical Standby to replicate the production database onto OCI, and Rackware to replicate operating system images for the Oracle EBS database, applications, Apex and SplashBI to minimize infrastructure risk and accelerate cutover activities. Public-facing external services were expanded with Oracle Application DMZ modules and the program included penetration testing and a formal Disaster Recovery design spanning Ashburn and Phoenix regions.
Connectivity and operational coverage were established between Avail Corporate and AZZ on-premise datacenters and OCI Ashburn and Phoenix regions using FastConnect over MegaPort. Production environment attributes include EBS 12.2.10 with Database 19.15, server counts of EBS three servers, SplashBI one server, OEM one server and Apex one server, and an E-Business database sized at approximately 3 TB, with Office 365 and OCI SMTP used for email. Apps Associates completed one non-production iteration on TEST infrastructure and one dry-run on future PROD infrastructure, and two non-production environments for EBS, SplashBI and APEX were built during the Phase 1 condensed timeline.
Governance and rollout were compressed from an initial six month plan into a two month Phase 1, with Apps Associates pivoting activities and resources to meet the schedule. The program executed a go-live on May 22, 2023 and Apps Associates reported completion of Avail’s enterprise workload deployment to the OCI cloud platform on time and on budget, while retaining the Disaster Recovery and OEM work for Phase 2.

| SoftCo | Legacy | SoftCo ExpressAP | AP Automation | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2024 | 2024 |
In 2024 Avail Infrastructure Solutions implemented SoftCo ExpressAP to automate its entire Accounts Payable process. Avail Infrastructure Solutions is a Georgia headquartered manufacturer with roughly 2,000 employees, processing about 100,000 invoices annually and seeking a centralized AP Automation platform to remove manual touchpoints and regain visibility and control across global operations.
SoftCo ExpressAP was provisioned to provide end to end AP Automation capabilities, including document capture, automated matching, smart coding, approval routing, and recurring invoice and surcharge automation. The deployment leverages SoftCo Automated Machine Learning Matching to drive market leading straight through processing for Avail’s 80,000 purchase order invoices, while SoftCo Smart Coding and Routing technology is applied to accelerate the company’s 20,000 non PO invoices by 89 percent.
The implementation includes a full integration with Avail’s existing Oracle ERP system to synchronize supplier, purchase order and invoice data, enabling coded invoice posting and approval status flows to be reflected in the ERP. Operational coverage centers on Accounts Payable and finance workflows, with implications for procurement exception handling and supplier payment orchestration as part of the AP Automation scope.
Governance and process changes focused on centralizing invoice processing, reducing manual interventions, and institutionalizing automated routing and coding rules. SoftCo ExpressAP will be the system of record for AP transactions, delivering capture, matching, coding and approval orchestration to support Avail’s goal of centralized control and improved invoice processing visibility.

| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle Cloud Infrastructure | Application Hosting and Computing Services | IaaS | Apps Associates | 2022 | 2023 |
In 2022 Avail Infrastructure Solutions selected and deployed Oracle Cloud Infrastructure as its new application for Application Hosting and Computing Services to replace a legacy on‑premises environment, engaging Apps Associates as the cloud infrastructure hosting and managed‑services partner. The program targeted core enterprise workloads—Oracle E‑Business Suite (EBS 12.2.10), Oracle Database 19.15 (3 TB), Splash BI (analytics), and Oracle APEX—with Oracle Enterprise Manager and a Full‑Stack Disaster Recovery capability scoped into a second phase. Avail also implemented Oracle Application DMZ modules and conducted penetration testing to enable public‑facing services.
Apps Associates executed a two‑phased migration with a condensed Phase 1 delivered in two months (initially planned for six months). Phase 1 covered EBS, APEX and Splash BI and included building two non‑production environments, one TEST iteration and one dry‑run on future PROD infrastructure; Phase 2 addressed OEM and DR. The technical approach used an Oracle Physical Standby database to replicate production to OCI and Rackware to replicate operating system images for EBS, APEX and Splash BI to reduce infrastructure disruption and cutover time. Connectivity was established between Avail Corporate and AZZ on‑prem datacenters and OCI Ashburn and Phoenix regions using FastConnect over MegaPort; email integration used Office 365 with OCI SMTP. A temporary OCI instance was provisioned to support a third‑party carve‑out activity, and unit and user acceptance testing were executed during the migration. Production go‑live occurred May 22, 2023.
Implementation challenges called out network and firewall rules between parent AZZ and Avail locations, issues with Samba shares, printers and barcode scanners, and resource constraints during a condensed timeline that required work during UAT and an additional clone request during cutover. Apps Associates completed the migration on time and on budget. Stated benefits realized include modernized infrastructure, improved cloning times and performance, faster environment provisioning via infrastructure‑as‑code, cloud scalability, DR automation, and improved price‑for‑performance.
