In 2020 AVT Simulation implemented Deltek CostPoint as its ERP Financial system to consolidate finance and manufacturing operations. The deployment replaced Microsoft Dynamics NAV and provisioned full manufacturing functionality to support three major facilities producing simulators for Department of Defense programs.
The Deltek CostPoint implementation included modules for MRP, Sales Orders, Purchasing, Planning, Receiving, Warehousing, Production, and Shipping, configured to support make to order simulator production workflows. Deltek CostPoint was configured to manage procurement flows, production scheduling, material planning, and warehouse movements that underpin assembly and test operations for complex defense equipment.
Operational rollout was led by the Vice President of Corporate Operations and covered operations management across three facilities, including an ISO9001 certified manufacturing plant. The implementation was aligned with program governance for DPAS rated work and the organization used CostPoint to coordinate procurement and production activities tied to Department of Defense contracts and deliveries to PEO STRI.
Governance and program delivery outcomes from the rollout are explicit, AVT Simulation delivered 132 Construction Equipment Vehicle Training Simulators and 20 Apache Gunnery Trainers ahead of schedule and on budget within two years. Deltek CostPoint served as the central ERP Financial system tying manufacturing execution, supply chain planning, and contract compliance into a single operational and financial record.
