In 2021 Barkbox implemented Globaledit DAM as its Digital Asset Management solution to centralize asset management across creative workflows. The Globaledit DAM deployment focused on enabling Work-in-Progress collaboration and bringing asset stewardship under a single repository for creative and marketing teams in the United States.
The implementation configured robust markup, rating, and distribution workflows to support iterative review and approval cycles. Globaledit DAM was used to manage work-in-progress assets, capture annotated feedback from reviewers, and apply ratings that influence downstream distribution queues and selection for campaigns.
Operational scope covered creative, marketing, and post-production functions, with in-platform communication specifically connecting art directors, retouchers, and post-production staff. The deployment emphasized collaboration and clearer handoffs between roles, reducing reliance on ad hoc file exchanges and email based reviews.
Governance was enforced through the system workflows for markup driven reviews, rating based selection, and controlled distribution routing, which restructured approval and asset preparation processes. As a result of the Globaledit DAM implementation Barkbox halved the time to prepare assets for distribution and increased creative throughput by enabling clearer in-platform communication between art directors, retouchers, and post-production staff.
