Sage Legacy Sage Business Cloud X3 (ex Sage ERP X3) ERP Financial ERP n/a 2007 2007
In 2007, Barnet Products implemented Sage Business Cloud X3 (ex Sage ERP X3) as its ERP Financial system. The deployment targeted the company core business functions for a 60 person manufacturing firm, centralizing order processing, inventory control and shipping documentation workflows across office and offsite warehouse operations. Sage Business Cloud X3 (ex Sage ERP X3) was configured to generate, print and assemble comprehensive shipping paperwork for each order, including shipping instructions, certificates of analysis, bills of lading, invoices, shipping and product labels, and barcodes. The implementation included capabilities to generate international documents and AES ACE ITN numbers for export transactions, and to verify and record insurance values within shipment documentation. Quality control data entry and approval workflows were implemented inside Sage X3 ERP, and functionality to allocate and monitor inventory of high value perishable goods stocked in the office was established alongside processes to process, pack and ship those items. Operational coverage encompassed coordination with international freight forwarders and domestic carriers to ensure timely collection of customer orders, and handling of customer specific requests such as emailed documents and pallet requirements. The system supported weekly cycle count processes to maintain accurate inventory records, and the shipping paperwork automation extended to offsite warehouse order fulfillment documentation. Governance and workflow restructuring focused on formalizing shipment approval, QC sign off inside Sage X3 ERP, and role level responsibilities for inventory allocation and export documentation generation. Process controls were established for documentation consistency and to ensure customer specific shipping requirements were captured and executed within the ERP Financial application environment.
