In 2014, BARDOT implemented ReadyTech HR3 Payroll for in-house multi-state payroll processing. ReadyTech HR3 Payroll was the primary Payroll application used to manage pay runs for more than 1000 retail and head office employees across multiple Australian states.
The implementation delivered full end-to-end Payroll functionality, including award interpretation, PAYG payments and STP management, multi-state payroll tax reconciliation and payments, monthly superannuation reconciliation and payment through an online clearing house, parental leave administration, Workcover management, and year-end reconciliations. ReadyTech HR3 Payroll was configured to produce payroll reporting for both Finance and the Management team and to support regular payroll tax and compliance workflows.
Operational integrations included the implementation and administration of the Riteq time and attendance system as the time capture input to ReadyTech HR3 Payroll. The deployment was run in-house and supported retail store payrolls and head office processing, with the payroll team serving as the point of contact for all staff payroll queries and maintaining staff discount card processes.
Governance and operational ownership were centralized under a Payroll Manager role, responsible for system administration, award interpretation, compliance tasks and managing one direct payroll assistant. Payroll processes were structured to support recurring reconciliation cycles, statutory payments, and management reporting across sites and states, with ReadyTech HR3 Payroll as the authoritative payroll system.

In 2019 BARDOT implemented Apparel21 as its point of sale and inventory backbone. Apparel21 is an Enterprise resource planning application used to support store transactions and stock management across BARDOT retail stores and the corporate office in Australia. The deployment aligned with retail operations for a fashion retailer of approximately 600 employees and AUD 130000000 in revenue.
Apparel21 was configured to manage point of sale transaction processing, inventory replenishment and daily banking workflows. Store associates operated Apparel21 point of sale systems to process sales, replenish stock and complete daily banking, while also promoting campaigns and customer engagement at the sales floor. These capabilities were used alongside in-store kiosks to support assisted selling and campaign vocalization.
Apparel21 was co-deployed with existing retail and office technologies including Kiosk, Riteq and Microsoft Office, forming the operational technology stack for store-level merchandising, sales floor activities and back office reporting. System coverage emphasized retail stores and the corporate office, with Apparel21 providing transactional processing and inventory master data for operational teams.
Rollout and governance centered on adherence to pre-determined KPIs and standard store procedures, with staff trained to operate Apparel21 POS functionality and follow replenishment and banking routines. Operational controls focused on store discipline and consistent workflows rather than centralized process redesign.
