In 2017, Batmans Hill on Collins implemented Access WageEasy (formerly Sage WageEasy) for Payroll. Time Target was used for time and attendance capture and fed hours into Access WageEasy, enabling wage calculations, reporting and distribution of electronic payslips via the Wage Easy payroll application. Operational workflows included entering invoices into H&L and Great Plains and completing payment runs for Accounts Payable, with staff explicitly tracking hotel debt to keep it under 60 days. Payroll and AP runs were part of the regular finance cadence, and payroll reporting supported those payment cycles. Payroll operations were embedded in a broader hotel operational stack, where the payroll team also produced a weekly revenue pick up report using Excel, assisted with the PMS changeover from Opera to RMS, supported the setup of TravelClick for GDS bookings and assisted with the setup of the Ideas Revenue Management system. The team maintained rate parity across booking channels, set promotional rates, liaised with OTA representatives, completed RFPs via Lanyon and Cvent and issued contracts and quotes for Corporate and MICE groups. Governance relied on coordinated weekly reporting and cross functional handoffs between payroll, revenue management, front office and finance to ensure accurate wage calculations, timely payslip distribution and alignment with accounts payable payment cycles. Access WageEasy served as the payroll anchor within that operational and reporting framework.
