In 2020, Bboxx implemented SAP Business ByDesign to establish a unified ERP Financial backbone that would support finance and supply chain business functions. The Bboxx SAP Business ByDesign ERP Financial implementation was pursued through SAP’s Grow by SAP program to provide a single cloud instance for global process consistency while accommodating local reporting needs.
The deployment emphasized SAP Business ByDesign modules for Supply Chain and Finance, with configuration centered on embedded best practice processes and automation for accounting, financial close, procurement, inventory management and order-to-cash workflows. SAP Business ByDesign was configured to standardize end-to-end finance and supply chain flows and to provide a scalable template for new market rollouts.
Phase 1 went live in Asia in May 2021, Phase 2 was scheduled for the UK, France and Rwanda in September 2021, and Phase 3 was scheduled for DRC, Kenya, Togo and Nigeria in December 2021. During Phase 3 SAP Business ByDesign will integrate with Bboxx Pulse, Bboxx’s comprehensive management platform, enabling synchronization between distributed field operations and centralized ERP processes across three continents.
Orchard House Solutions served as the Grow by SAP business transformation partner, leading implementation and rollout governance. The program was designed to deliver advanced supply chain, finance and accounting capabilities and to enable widespread automation and consistent global processes, while preserving local reporting requirements.

In 2018 Bboxx implemented Microsoft Power BI as a companywide Analytics and BI capability to centralize reporting for decision makers across its UK and Rwanda operations. The deployment emphasized self service dashboards and operational reporting to support sales, manufacturing and senior management decision workflows.
The Microsoft Power BI implementation included interactive reports and daily dashboards built on a star schema Data Warehouse design, with data modeling, query optimization and drill through analysis to surface root causes of underperformance. A predictive customer default model was developed and deployed into reporting workflows, and statistical analysis using R was used to inform product lifecycle recommendations and profitability decisions.
Power BI was connected to the company data stack including Postgres, Microsoft Flow and analytical outputs from R, providing a single visualization and distribution layer for cross departmental metrics. The implementation targeted departmental users in sales, operations and product teams and supported reporting across London and Rwanda operations.
Governance changes accompanied the rollout, with version control and release processes introduced for dashboards, including testing, validation, sign off and rollback procedures, plus ongoing liaison with senior management to improve data quality and to define new KPIs. Early indications from the deployed predictive model showed a reduction in the percentage of defaulters, and Power BI reports enabled teams to identify drivers of underperformance that contributed to organizational changes aimed at improving sales and profitability.
