In 2020, BCC Iccrea Group deployed Ivanti Endpoint Security as part of its Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) program. The effort was coordinated by BCC Sistemi Informatici, the IT hub for the Iccrea Cooperative Banking Group, with the ICT Security TEAM accountable for operational IT security and IT risk monitoring across 113 cooperative credit banks, nearly 2,500 branches and presence in over 1,700 municipalities.
Implementation centered on Ivanti Endpoint Security agent deployment and configuration of detection and response workflows, including policy enforcement, agent based telemetry collection, and automated containment aligned to Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) capabilities. Configuration workstreams were driven by operational tasks in the ICT Security TEAM, covering preparation of setup kits for installation and uninstallation of software packages, standardized hardening baselines for workstations and mobile devices, and remote monitoring using RMM and MDM tooling.
Integrations explicitly included identity and device management systems, with identity management support on IDM, Microsoft Active Directory, and Microsoft Office 365 systems, and coordination with RMM and MDM platforms to manage Windows, Android and Apple endpoints. Operational coverage was defined across the cooperative network and included placement of a Security Identity and Device Management Specialist in the Peschiera Borromeo and Rome offices to align endpoint controls with local support and escalation processes.
Governance followed the ICT Security TEAM framework for continuous threat monitoring, formalizing processes for device hardening, change control for endpoint policy, and escalation paths for incident response. Ivanti Endpoint Security is documented as the primary Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) control, with standardized deployment kits and identity linked policy enforcement used to promote consistent endpoint security posture across the BCC Iccrea Group.
