In 2024, Bodo Energi implemented Boomi AtomSphere as part of its BE neXt transformation to unify data and system flows across the municipality-owned power provider and its subsidiaries. The engagement targeted API Management,iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service) requirements to provide a central integration layer supporting an ERP migration to the cloud and to eliminate manual spreadsheet and point-to-point processes.
Boomi AtomSphere was configured as the central integration and automation layer, employing low-code, drag-and-drop orchestration to build reusable integration logic and connectors. The platform automated data synchronization and record transfer workflows, including the automatic movement of field service records and photos into the ERP system, reducing manual cross-application reconciliation and the need for follow-up site visits.
Integrations implemented through Boomi AtomSphere included ERP, cloud storage, HRM, field service and work order management, and CRM systems, creating a single source of truth across finance, HR, IT, and business development functions that span the parent company and subsidiaries. The project was executed with Boomi partner Voglio, aligning integration patterns and runtime deployment to support centralized monitoring and management of interfaces.
Governance changes empowered non-technical users to manage and maintain integrations via the platform’s intuitive interfaces, shifting operational ownership away from bespoke point-to-point coding. Outcomes explicitly reported by Bodo Energi include a unified view of business data, enabling new joint venture integrations and future analytics use cases, and an improvement in operational efficiencies by 30 percent through reduced reporting time and automated processes.
