In 2025 BEFER GmbH implemented RIB One Prefab as its Construction ERP control backbone for a tailored circulation system for special precast components. The RIB One Prefab implementation deployed a co-developed HMI/SCADA touchscreen interface combined with a 4x7 pallet grid routing architecture to coordinate material flow across 28 workstations in BEFERs new production facility. The implementation focused on shop floor control, dynamic pallet routing, and process scheduling capabilities inherent to RIB One Prefab, with configuration for product-specific pacing and demand-driven control of pallets. The HMI/SCADA touchscreen provides direct operator interaction for routing, job sequencing, and real-time visibility, while the modular RIB One Prefab configuration supports phased commissioning and early production refinement. RIB One Prefab was integrated with Avermanns floor-level underfloor transfer system and a modern safety PLC to enforce safety protocols and eliminate raised installations that create trip hazards. Integration work covered machine control interfaces, safety system coordination, and underfloor transfer orchestration, enabling seamless handoffs between automation hardware and the RIB One Prefab control layer, and supporting operations, quality, and safety teams on the plant floor. Governance and rollout followed an iterative model, using functional demos, hands-on testing, and continuous feedback between BEFER, RIB Software, and Avermann from design through commissioning and early production. Since the plant opened in 2023 BEFER has reported roughly 80 percent utilization on the new line, with reduced downtime, shorter setup times, improved dimensional accuracy, and improved workplace safety through the floor-integrated transfer system and touchscreen-led operational ownership.
