In 2018 Begley Brothers deployed Quantum Payroll to manage Payroll operations, running weekly payroll for approximately 100 employees within a 200 person organization. The implementation positioned Quantum Payroll as the central payroll engine supporting HR and finance functions for payroll calculation, payslip distribution, and routine payroll administration.
Quantum Payroll was configured to process weekly payroll cycles and to replace paper payslips with electronic email distribution, reflecting a digital first approach to payslip delivery. The implementation included handling employee queries related to holidays, sick leave, and clock in discrepancies, and it was used to operationalize new Covid 19 holiday policies and shift change processes within the payroll workflow.
Integrations were executed with Timeware for clock in data and with HR Locker for HR records synchronization, allowing Quantum Payroll to reconcile timekeeping and personnel data for accurate payroll runs. Email systems were used for payslip distribution and the platform supported digitalization of paper training documents by linking payroll and HR records to online training artifacts, extending operational coverage across HR, payroll, and operations teams.
Governance activities included creation of standard operating procedures and streamlining of payroll and HR processes, with system-driven workflows to manage employee queries and policy exceptions. The payroll team also used Quantum Payroll in coordination with recruiting activities, scheduling and conducting candidate interviews, and as part of documented processes when witnessing staff incidents and disciplinary actions.
