In 2023, Bethany Lutheran Health Services implemented Sage Intacct as its ERP Financial solution to address multi-facility consolidation and reporting limits they experienced with MatrixCare. The organization conducted an internal requirements review with accounting staff that prioritized consolidated reporting with drill down capabilities, manager self-service reporting, automated Cost Per Patient Day reporting, and enhanced accounts payable functions across entities with different EIN numbers.
Sage Intacct was configured to deliver dashboards and KPI visibility for department heads, and the Sage Intacct custom report writer was used to automate PPD and Census reports and to produce statement of cash flows. Functional capabilities implemented include fixed assets tracking through a selected Fixed Assets program, automated approval workflows for purchase orders, voucher scanning and eBanking enabled for AP, and department level self-service reporting to reduce manual data preparation.
A pre built connector was developed to integrate the clinical system MatrixCare with Sage Intacct, using Web Services for the touch points and monthly revenue uploads from the clinical system into the accounting environment. Intellitec Solutions led the integration work, configuring data mappings so that data entered on the clinical side populates Sage Intacct and supports consolidated financial reporting across multiple facilities.
Intellitec Solutions conducted a multi point analysis to define business and operational requirements, identify gaps, and assist with configuration choices such as the Fixed Assets solution and positive pay file generation for bank fraud detection. The resulting deployment centralized financial workflows for accounting and operations, enabled drill down financial statements and automated previously manual reporting tasks, and provided the operational controls and reporting structure needed by department managers and finance leadership.
