| Thomson Reuters Elite | Legacy | Thomson Reuters HighQ | Collaboration | Collaboration | n/a | 2016 | 2016 | In 2016 Bevan Brittan implemented Thomson Reuters HighQ as a Collaboration solution to provide a cloud based data room and document sharing workspace for Business Support Services and fee earners. The Thomson Reuters HighQ deployment served as the firm level Collaboration platform used for uploading and downloading client and matter documents, and it was adopted operationally by a 13 person Business Support Services team operating across four sites. The implementation emphasized document management and secure file sharing capabilities common to Collaboration platforms, including workspace organization, controlled access and permissions, and virtual file closure workflows. Thomson Reuters HighQ was used to support routine reprographics and administrative tasks, meeting pack preparation and the daily handling of scanned and bound documents, aligning platform configuration with those functional needs. Operationally the rollout was coordinated with the Business Change Analyst and Business Support Team leadership, and it supported a focused file closure initiative that cleared over 800 physical file closures and 400 virtual closures in six months. The platform was also integrated into day to day practice by reception, administration and reprographics staff, and it was referenced as the point of upload and download for event materials and marketing collateral used in firm seminars. Governance and process change accompanied the HighQ deployment, with development and enforcement of Standard Operating Procedures across four sites, targeted staff recruitment and training, monthly one to ones and annual appraisals, and the creation of a tracking process to shift routine work from fee earners to Business Support Services. The team produced business cases for staffing and new ways of working, and explicit outcomes reported include reduced complaints through training and process improvements. | |
