In 2023, Beverston Engineering implemented Epicor Kinetic as a Cloud SaaS deployment to modernize its Manufacturing ERP environment. The project was delivered by Clear Business Outcome and moved the company to a centralized cloud application architecture to reduce on-site infrastructure and provide scalable storage and compute for manufacturing workloads.
The implementation configured Epicor Kinetic to surface key Manufacturing ERP capabilities, including manufacturing traceability and production tracking to support high precision, safety critical components, and the introduction of Epicor Finance to consolidate financial processes. Reporting was migrated from Crystal Reports to SSRS to improve financial reporting workflows, and a secure sign in process was implemented to strengthen cybersecurity for cloud access.
Operational scope covered core business functions for the UK engineering and manufacturing operations, with explicit migration activity to discontinue Sage finance processes and consolidate accounting into Epicor Finance. The transition from a hybrid Epicor and Sage data model was executed with a requirement of no downtime between systems, supported by staged cutover events and multiple go live phases to validate functionality before final production switch.
Governance and rollout followed a multi-stage go live approach, emphasizing minimal disruption and staged validation, with Clear Business Outcome providing local UK-based consultant support and rapid escalation through a networked team. The engagement shifted maintenance and basic development responsibilities away from diminished in-house skills toward cloud managed updates and partner-led operational support, enabling a roadmap of small incremental changes post-migration.
Outcomes explicitly reported by Beverston Engineering include improved financial reporting through SSRS, enhanced cyber security via cloud sign in controls, reduced on-site hardware and static storage, and a broadly successful, low-disruption upgrade experience. Epicor Kinetic now serves as Beverston Engineering Manufacturing ERP for finance, reporting, and production traceability.
