In 2013, BIME implemented Intesi Factory ERP. Intesi Factory ERP was deployed as a Manufacturing ERP to automate manual shop floor data collection and to support the companys mold and stamping production workflows.
The implementation centered on the management part to create parts and to generate orders with attached parts, the Final Reports module to verify actual versus expected operation times, and the warehouse part to manage stocked components and customer-specific drawers. Automatic data collection was configured to capture operator time per production phase, enabling quick retrieval of historical part and mold data to support quoting and rework decisions.
Operational coverage included shop floor production, order management, warehouse inventory for customer-held drawers, and the design to testing lifecycle for molds, including maintenance of molds built by BIME or by customers elsewhere. Production and warehouse staff used the system to trigger batch replenishment when parts were picked, with workflows orchestrated through the ERP warehouse capabilities.
Process governance shifted from manual paper or ad hoc recording to centralized electronic consuntivazione and reporting, reducing operator burden and sources of human error while improving access to time and parts history for production planning and customer support. Production Manager Oscar Medaglia reported positive outcomes in search time for existing parts, improved visibility on phase-level operator times, and satisfactory vendor support and usability with Intesi Factory ERP.
