In 2012 Bilbolaget implemented VCRS TACDIS as its Dealership Management application. The deployment established a centralized system for service, parts and workshop operations across Bilbolaget's Volvo and multi brand retail activity in Sweden, positioning VCRS TACDIS as the primary Dealership Management platform for customer interactions and backend shop processes.
The implementation encompassed functional modules typical of Dealership Management, including inventory and spare parts management, repair order and damage inspection workflows, warranty and returns handling, invoicing, and customer record management. Configuration work emphasized workshop workflows so technicians and parts staff could record damage inspections, prepare damage calculations, manage returns and process invoices within VCRS TACDIS, while aligning permissions and role based access for service advisors and parts clerks.
VCRS TACDIS operated alongside Tacdis TECH USED and brand specific spare parts programs for Volvo, Ford, Renault, Dacia, Hyundai and Polestar, reflecting a coexistent operational model for parts ordering and warehouse management. Operational coverage included the damage workshop, internal warehouse, service reception for receiving and handing over customer cars, and both internal and external invoicing, supporting frontline service and parts functions.
Governance shifted accountability to parts and warranty roles with documentation and structured workflows for damage inspections and warranty claims, and the company emphasized documented automotive technical skills and high computer literacy for users of VCRS TACDIS. Bilbolaget reinforced rollout and ongoing competency through training relationships with Volvo Car Sweden, Renault, Hyundai and IHM Business School to embed the new Dealership Management processes into daily operations.
