Verisk Analytics Legacy Verisk Sequel Claims Insurance Claims Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2019 2019
In 2019, Blenheim, Part Of White Bear Group implemented Verisk Sequel Claims to support Insurance Claims Management across its claims operations and business intelligence workflows. The deployment was positioned to centralize claims processing and reporting, aligning claims intake, adjudication and financial reconciliation with the companys existing reporting estate. Verisk Sequel Claims was configured to capture core claims attributes and to support standard Insurance Claims Management capabilities such as intake, assignment, reserving, payment processing and workflow orchestration, while feeding transaction level data into the corporate data warehouse. Internal development used Microsoft Visual Studio 2022 and VB.Net to produce forms and interfaces, and SQL Server based ETL and reporting layers were built to surface Sequel data through SSRS reports and Microsoft Power BI dashboards. The implementation integrated with multiple upstream and downstream systems that are explicitly in use at Blenheim, including Eclipse and Eclipse Claims for underwriting and some claims workflows, Sequel MGA for MGA specific records, Sun for accounts, and file based exchanges with Xchanging UCM and OBM feeds. Data extraction and reconciliation workflows were established between Sequel Claims and BLUW Reporting Application and between Eclipse and Magenta Reporting Application, supported by SQL Server Agent jobs across different servers and regular data validation processes. Governance and operational controls were formalized through MI improvement initiatives, policy and claims data validation routines, month end reconciliation processes and the creation of Lloyds reporting classes for statutory returns such as the TRIA submission. Operational ownership sat with the internal BI and data administration team in the City of London, who performed database administration, scheduled SQL Server jobs, developed SSRS reports, and created Power BI report designs that support claims, underwriting and accounts stakeholders.
