SpotOn Transact Legacy SpotOn POS Point Of Sale ERP Services and Operations n/a 2020 2020
In 2020, Blue Barn Gourmet implemented SpotOn POS from SpotOn Transact to enable first-party online ordering and unify point of sale reporting. The deployment positioned SpotOn POS in the Point Of Sale category alongside SpotOn Order to centralize order capture and payments for the San Francisco region. The implementation focused on functional capabilities typical of the Point Of Sale category, including first-party online ordering workflows, unified POS reporting dashboards, and payment processing through SpotOn Transact. Configuration work centered on aligning menu and takeout order flows with in-store fulfillment processes to accelerate takeout turnaround and raise average order value for online channels. Operational coverage was concentrated on operations and payments across Blue Barn Gourmet sites in the Bay Area, with SpotOn Order integrated into the POS reporting layer to provide a single source of truth for direct orders. Business functions impacted included operations, payments reconciliation, and revenue reporting, with order management and fulfillment workflows moved into the SpotOn application stack. Governance and rollout emphasized centralized reporting and order orchestration to support faster takeout fulfillment and higher online AOV. The solution enabled Blue Barn Gourmet to recover 60 to 70 percent of pre-pandemic revenue through direct orders, with online orders accounting for approximately 30 percent of revenue.
