Governance and operational changes included a standardized budget model and automated reporting flows that shifted the finance team from manual consolidation to value added analysis. Explicit outcomes reported by the organization include automated, current reporting where most transactions appear in reports within a week, reduction in monthly reporting effort that previously took two weeks, implementation costs recouped within one year, and recognition with the 2023 Transformation Project of the Year award; Blue Marine Foundation is now trialing Copilot and exploring AI assisted bank reconciliation support.
