CGI Group Legacy CGI Wealth360 Fund Accounting (formerly mPower) Portfolio and Investment Management Investment Management n/a 2010 2010
In 2010 BMO Nesbitt Burns in Toronto began operational use of CGI Wealth360 Fund Accounting, formerly mPower, to support Portfolio and Investment Management across its Reorganization department and managed accounts operations. The deployment focused on back office fund accounting and corporate actions processing, centering on daily reorganization notices and investor advisor communications. Configured capabilities included fund accounting ledgers for managed accounts, corporate actions and reorganization notice workflow, position and cash reconciliation, and reporting for investor advisor distribution. Automation work in operations used macros to generate Voluntary Reorg Notices and Class Action Notices and to trigger individualized emails to Investor Advisors, while IA code updates were applied as part of the accounting feed preparation. Operational workflows combined system activity in CGI Wealth360 Fund Accounting with manual verification against the Prime Brokerage website and Ops Central website for previous day notices. Daily inputs were populated via shared M Drive and W Drive files and an internal database, these sources were used to input the daily Reorg Notices and to feed managed account processing in CGI Wealth360 Fund Accounting. Governance and process controls included a daily control cycle for confirming notice publication, a macro driven distribution process to Investor Advisors, and IA code maintenance to ensure accurate mapping into fund accounting records. The implementation was in active use from 2010 to 2014 in Toronto operations supporting operations and investor advisory communications within the Portfolio and Investment Management function.
