In 2018, BMW Manufacturing Thailand integrated Omise Payment into ConnectedDrive and the BMW Ultimate JOY platform to enable in-product and online payments. The engagement targeted Payment Processing for Thailand and focused on card tokenization and on-the-spot payments for reservations and digital content. BMW Manufacturing Thailand used Omise Payment to embed payment flows directly into customer touchpoints across its digital services.
The technical implementation leveraged Omise APIs and Omise.js to deliver client side tokenization paired with server side authorization and capture workflows common to Payment Processing implementations. Configuration centralized token management and minimized storage of raw card data, while backend payment endpoints were orchestrated to confirm reservations and unlock digital content. The integration emphasized secure token exchange and end-to-end payment verification as primary functional capabilities.
Operational coverage spanned pre-purchase and post-purchase channels in Thailand, with direct impact on reservations, event bookings, and digital content purchases. Omise Payment was integrated into ConnectedDrive reservation flows and the BMW Ultimate JOY platform checkout, affecting customer experience, sales operations, and reconciliation workflows. The implementation therefore cut across customer facing teams and backend finance processes.
Governance and workflow adjustments aligned reconciliation and settlement processes to tokenized payment events, which reduced manual reconciliation as reported. The rollout improved customer-facing payment experiences and sped up event and reservation bookings according to the implementation notes. The narrative centers on Omise Payment as the Payment Processing solution embedded within BMW Manufacturing Thailand digital channels.
