In 2018, Bode implemented Apple Pay on its website to add a native browser and device payment method. The implementation leverages Apple Pay as the tokenized payment instrument within the company storefront, categorized as Payment Processing, and serves online retail checkout workflows for customers in the United States. The rollout focused on the ecommerce checkout path and the site level payment acceptance layer.
Technically the deployment uses client side Apple Pay integration that surfaces the Apple Pay button and payment sheet in supported browsers and devices, and transmits device generated payment tokens to Bode's server for authorization. Configuration included merchant validation, HTTPS endpoints for token exchange, and server side handling of Apple Pay payment tokens to forward to the store's payment processor. Functional capabilities implemented include tokenized payment acceptance, streamlined checkout authorization, and fallback card entry for non Apple Pay sessions.
Operational scope was limited to the online storefront checkout, impacting commerce, payments operations, and customer experience teams responsible for order capture and reconciliation. Governance changes centered on payment acceptance rules, merchant certificate management, and updated refund and reconciliation workflows to consume tokenized transactions. Apple Pay was implemented as Apple Pay, Payment Processing to ensure clear mapping between the application, category, and business function.

In 2016, Bode implemented ApparelMagic as its Fashion ERP to centralize inventory and order workflows for the brand. This deployment established ApparelMagic as the primary system of record for product, order and production data across the company.
The ApparelMagic implementation focused on core Fashion ERP capabilities, including inventory management, order management for wholesale and direct sales, sample and production tracking, costing and purchase order processing. Configuration emphasized SKU and style master data, size and color matrix handling, and standard merchandise lifecycle controls consistent with small-batch apparel operations.
Operational coverage extended across design, production, merchandising and wholesale teams, aligning business functions in a single application platform. Role-based access controls and module-level permissions were configured to support user groups in buying, production planning and order fulfillment.
Governance work included establishing a centralized SKU master, documented order-to-fulfillment workflows and inventory reconciliation procedures within ApparelMagic, along with phased user onboarding and training for a 30-person retail organization. Bode’s implementation occurred prior to the brand’s later recognition, the eponymous line earning a 2020 CFDA Menswear Designer of the Year nomination.
