In 2012, Borough of Woodland Park implemented Edmunds GovTech Financial as its Government ERP to centralize municipal finance and utility billing across borough operations. The deployment targeted the finance office and public works water billing function for a municipality of about 100 employees in the United States, consolidating billing and accounts workflows under a single application.
Edmunds GovTech Financial was configured to support municipal finance and utility billing capabilities, including general ledger posting, accounts receivable management, utility billing, meter data import and validation, and scheduled quarterly billing cycles. Configuration emphasized utility billing workflows that ingest meter reads, run discrepancy detection and correction processes, and generate resident invoices on a quarterly schedule.
The implementation incorporated working integration with Badger Meter systems by ingesting downloadable meter data from on site meter equipment into Edmunds GovTech Financial, normalizing readings for validation and feeding billing records. Operational coverage included the finance and water departments and formalized workflows for discrepancy resolution and quarterly billing runs, aligning municipal billing operations with the Government ERP application.
