In 2020, Boursorama implemented Apple Pay to extend web based payment acceptance on its corporate website. Apple Pay was deployed as a Payment Processing option within Boursorama's online checkout and authenticated payment flows, providing an on site digital wallet channel for retail customers.
The implementation leveraged Web Apple Pay client side integration, embedding the Apple Pay JavaScript payment sheet into the website payment layer and configuring merchant validation and certificate management to enable tokenized card transactions and device level authentication. Functional capabilities implemented include browser based payment initiation, tokenized credential handling, and user authentication triggers consistent with a Payment Processing integration.
Operational scope covered Boursorama's online retail and digital channels, impacting checkout workflows, card on file logic, and customer facing payment options. Governance required ongoing certificate lifecycle management and coordination between web operations and payments teams to maintain merchant validation and tokenization configuration. The deployment positioned Apple Pay as a web native Payment Processing channel for Boursorama's digital banking customer interactions.

In 2021 Boursorama implemented IDEMIA Card Personalization Services to provision and deliver the ULTIM METAL product, using IDEMIA’s Card Personalization capabilities within the Card Personalization category. The deployment introduced a metal premium card variant into Boursorama’s existing card portfolio, complementing WELCOME and ULTIM, and was targeted at private customers in France who seek upmarket, user friendly payment cards.
IDEMIA Card Personalization Services was used to manage card production and personalization workflows, covering material specification, secure personalization data handling, and finished-card personalization. The ULTIM METAL design places all cardholder details and the quick read card number on the back while keeping the front minimal, and the physical card composition is explicitly specified as 75 percent recycled and recyclable metal, aligning personalization output with sustainability requirements.
The project impacted product management, card issuance operations, customer acquisition marketing, and corporate social responsibility planning, positioning ULTIM METAL as an all inclusive premium offer that complements Boursorama’s existing retail banking services such as budgeting and investment advice. The rollout was framed to meet premium customer needs and to support Boursorama’s stated goal of reaching more than 4 million customers by 2023, making Boursorama the first French card issuer to offer metal cards to private customers.
Governance and supplier interaction were centered on IDEMIA supplying and supporting the card offering, with personalization services aligned to Boursorama’s sustainability and zero carbon banking pledges announced in 2022. The implementation completed Boursorama’s card range, delivered a climate friendly metal card option, and was positioned by both parties as a market differentiator for premium customer acquisition.
