In 2017, Brock Supply began a company-wide implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as its ERP Financial platform, led by the Chief Information Officer. The initiative included company-wide process redesign, cloud migration, and a targeted program to eliminate inherited technical debt, with enVista engaged as the implementation partner.
The Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations deployment focused on core financial management and transaction lifecycles, integrated inventory and order management workflows, and configuration to support downstream warehouse and ecommerce interactions. The project incorporated the Targit business intelligence suite to standardize corporate reporting while the ERP implementation progressed, aligning finance, operations, and analytics for consistent executive reporting.
Architecturally the program moved integration points to an enterprise service bus model using Neuron ESB to connect the warehouse management interface to the ERP, an approach that improved reliability, performance, and monitoring. A public API was exposed to allow customers to consume the parts catalog and place orders in real time, and ecommerce channel work with Google, Amazon, eBay, and Walmart was coordinated alongside the ERP implementation to support omnichannel order flows and catalog syndication.
Governance and operational changes included adoption of agile development processes to improve team productivity and responsiveness, company-wide training in personal productivity methodologies, and coordinated rollout planning across departments.
