Microsoft Microsoft Dynamics AX Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations ERP Financial ERP n/a 2018 2019
In 2018, Brooklyn Brewery implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, replacing Microsoft Dynamics AX, as an ERP Financial platform across its operations. The Project Director led the engagement and managed scope, budget, the internal functional team, supplier partners, requirements, configuration and enhancements, system testing, training, and ongoing support across three locations. Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations was configured to deliver core financial management, operational order and inventory workflows, and warehouse management functionality. The implementation covered Finance, Operations, and WMS modules, included functional configuration and targeted enhancements, and followed structured system testing cycles and role based training for finance, operations, and warehouse users. Operational integration work included coordination with 21st Amendment and Funkwerks breweries to streamline processes across the three brands and align shared operational practices. The integration focus emphasized harmonizing transactional flows, inventory handling, and fulfillment processes to support combined operations across the sites. Governance and rollout were organized under the Project Director who coordinated internal stakeholders and supplier partners, established requirements and acceptance criteria, and oversaw training and the support model across the three locations. Process restructuring and workflow alignment for finance, operations, and warehouse teams were implemented to reflect Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations transaction sequencing and reporting patterns. The program also identified cost savings opportunities through the operational integration efforts across Brooklyn Brewery, 21st Amendment, and Funkwerks.
