In 2024, BUL implemented Peoplefone Microsoft Teams in the PBX, VoiP and Phone Systems category. The switch was delivered by IT-HelpPoint GmbH and completed at the end of November 2024 for the Switzerland based non profit with 85 employees to support staff working on-site, mobile and in home offices and to simplify IT and communications administration.
Peoplefone Microsoft Teams configuration focused on enabling calling with business numbers from the Teams app, centralizing telephony provisioning and user number assignment, and providing client based voice access for mobile and remote users. Functional capabilities implemented included business number presentation for outbound calls, centralized call routing and administration enabled by the Peoplefone integration with Microsoft Teams, and softphone capability inside the Teams client.
Operational coverage included all staff across on-site offices, mobile workers and home offices in Switzerland, with rollout and cutover managed by IT-HelpPoint GmbH at the end of November 2024. The change simplified IT and communications administration, improved employee mobility, and was reported to be well received by staff while enabling employees to place and receive calls on their business numbers via the Teams application.
