In 2021, Bunkhouse Group implemented Oracle OPERA Property 5 Management to centralize property operations across its hospitality portfolio. The deployment targeted core hotel property workflows and was positioned as the primary Hotel Property Management application supporting reservations and front desk operations for Bunkhouse Group properties. Oracle OPERA Property 5 Management was configured to manage reservations, front desk check in and check out, housekeeping state and assignment, guest profile and loyalty records, rate and inventory controls, and property-level reporting. Configuration work emphasized interface management and operational workflows common to Hotel Property Management, including night audit and housekeeping automation where applicable. Integration scope included interface projects to Point of Sale systems such as Aloha, Simphony, Infor and Toast, revenue management integration with Duetto, reservation system integration with SynXis, and sales platform integration with Tripleseat, as well as guest servicing and communication systems. The implementation covered hotel, coffee shop and restaurant sites within the Bunkhouse portfolio, with coordination between property staff and corporate IT for network, virtual server environments, HSIA, and on-premises infrastructure. Governance and rollout were managed by an IT Project Manager working with the IT Manager and third party MSP vendors, featuring budget management, implementation timelines, regular project status reporting to senior IT leadership, onsite vendor coordination, and documentation of manuals and procedures. Security and data protection requirements were enforced through network access controls, backup procedures and server environment standards, and change management processes involved hotel operations staff for pre cutover validation and post implementation support.
