In 2018, C.P. Pokphand Vietnam implemented TE-FOOD Trustchain, deploying TE-FOOD Trustchain as a Blockchain Platform to establish farm to table traceability across its Vietnam operations. The deployment focused on supply chain traceability for manufacturing and distribution functions, instrumenting provenance capture from primary production through processing and retail touchpoints.
The implementation configured TE-FOOD Trustchain core components including the blockchain ledger, physical identification materials, and client applications for food companies, consumers and authorities. Functional capabilities implemented emphasized immutable transaction records, product provenance documentation, batch and lot level tracking, compliance reporting and consumer-facing traceability scans.
TE-FOOD Trustchain was provisioned to accept and exchange traceability data on TE-FOOD’s ledger and to interoperate with third party ledgers such as IBM Food Trust, Vechain and Waltonchain, enabling data exchange across upstream farms and downstream retailers. Integration points included on site capture using physical IDs, mobile and web client applications for operators and consumer scan workflows, and authority access for regulatory reporting across Vietnam.
Governance was structured to align quality, operations and compliance teams around the blockchain ledger as the canonical source for traceability events, with workflow changes to onboard farms, processors and retail partners and to validate physical identification processes.
