Flare HR Legacy Flare Benefits Benefits Administration HCM n/a 2018 2018
In 2018 Catering Industries deployed Flare Benefits as its Benefits Administration solution. Flare Benefits was implemented as an online HR onboarding and employee benefits program in partnership with Flare HR to support the companys multi-site national operations across Aged Care, public sector facilities and boarding schools. The implementation focused on core Benefits Administration capabilities, including employee onboarding workflows, benefits enrollment configuration, and employee self-service access for plan selection and communications. Configuration work emphasized eligibility rules aligned to enterprise agreements and award interpretation, and standard category-aligned automation for enrollment and life event handling was applied to streamline HR lifecycle activities. Operational integration was governed through close coordination between the National HR Manager, payroll and finance stakeholders, recruitment, and site leadership to align deductions, payroll inputs and onboarding handoffs. Deployment covered national sites and required stakeholder engagement with employee associations and unions, with the National HR Manager accountable for rollout governance, policy updates and HR policy implementation across regions. The Flare Benefits deployment is recorded as a delivered HR capability among several strategic people initiatives. Separately, Catering Industries documented workforce actions that included converting 260 plus long term casuals and sourcing casual pools across Greater Sydney, which are listed as delivering approximate annual savings of 800K and 950K respectively.
