Operational support and integrations extended to enterprise infrastructure components the IT lead managed, including Watchguard firewalls, Avaya and 8x8 VOIP telephony systems, hosted email providers and a G Suite domain, network switching and wireless from Ubiquiti, multifunction printers, and security cameras, with network diagrams and physical cabling maintained for multi-site consistency.
Governance and service management were established alongside the Sage 100 rollout, including creation and maintenance of IT policies, a Helpdesk for issue tracking and end-user support, KnowBe4 phishing testing and training, and formal liaison with the Sage business partner as the onsite technical contact. The IT lead also conducted telecom and software asset management audits, negotiated vendor contracts, supervised interns, and instituted documentation and process changes to consolidate functions and reduce system redundancy.
Outcomes reported by the organization included achieved annual recurring savings in excess of $115,000 and measurable improvements in systems availability, security posture, and user efficiency, driven by consolidation of services, standardized support workflows and low-cost optimization measures.
