Chambery deployed CHI PCSWMM to compare modeling approaches and to support flood risk assessment workflows that connect computational hydrology outputs to urban flood assessment and planning functions. Implementation scope emphasized watershed-scale simulation and model coupling, with configuration of hydrologic process modules and spatially explicit 2D hydraulic grids plus integrated 1D to 2D channel coupling to represent both river conduits and overland flow. The use of CHI PCSWMM included calibration and scenario management workflows, producing spatial inundation maps and time series results intended for municipal engineering and regional planning consumption. Operational coverage involved city engineering teams and regional partners in the Chambéry region, and the project framed governance around iterative scenario review between municipal and regional stakeholders. Model configuration and reproducible workflows were central to embedding CHI PCSWMM outputs into urban flood assessment and planning decision processes, and the results informed planning outcomes for flood risk management in the study area.
