| Emburse | Legacy | Emburse Enterprise | Expense Management | ERP | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016, Chandos Construction implemented Emburse Enterprise as its Expense Management application. The rollout referenced a Chrome River mobile and web browser expense interface and was led internally, with the implementation lead serving as the system administrator responsible for configuration and day to day governance.
Configuration work centered on core Expense Management capabilities including mobile receipt capture, electronic expense submission, approvals workflow configuration and policy enforcement. The administrator implemented routing logic, expense categories and controls, and instrumented transaction level reporting and audit trails to align expense workflows with accounting processes.
Operational scope focused on the accounting department and employee expense processes, supporting month end and year end activities such as intercompany reconciliations, fixed asset and foreign exchange account reconciliations, and preparation of monthly bank and bonding reports. The tool was operated in the context of routine payroll forecasting and full cycle accounting services for affiliated entities, reflecting direct administration and operational use rather than a documented integration with a specific ERP.
Governance responsibilities established under the administrator role included internal control testing, provision of process improvement recommendations and administration of approval policies. The implementation lead supported complex reconciliations, bank and bonding reporting, and maintenance of employee unitholder records as part of finance operations. Chandos Construction operated Emburse Enterprise as its Expense Management platform to centralize expense administration and maintain an auditable expense trail within finance.

| Autodesk | Legacy | Autodesk BuildingConnected | Construction Bidding | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020, Chandos Construction implemented Autodesk BuildingConnected as a core platform for its Construction Bidding operations. Chandos Construction is a 100 percent employee owned Canadian general contractor with seven offices and a Virtual Design and Construction team of seven people managing roughly four hundred million dollars of work across the country, and the BuildingConnected deployment was positioned to support that preconstruction and bidding scale.
The VDC team configured Autodesk BuildingConnected to centralize bid invitation, bidder tracking, and subcontractor prequalification workflows, aligning preconstruction activities with the firm’s lean construction and integrated project delivery practices. Autodesk BuildingConnected was used to standardize bid pipelines, capture bidder responses, and surface constructability issues earlier in the preconstruction lifecycle, supporting the firm’s collaborative project delivery models.
Autodesk BuildingConnected was integrated with Assemble and BIM 360 within Autodesk Construction Cloud to synthesize design and constructability data into bid-ready packages and to maintain a single source of truth for preconstruction decisions. Operational coverage included VDC, preconstruction, procurement, and project teams across Chandos Construction’s regional offices, tying bidding activity directly to model and document sources managed in Assemble and BIM 360.
Governance was updated to reflect Integrated Project Delivery principles, shifting stakeholder engagement and decision gates to earlier in projects to increase alignment and reduce risk. The implementation reinforced standardized workflows for design and constructability reviews, improved transparency around subcontractor selection, and supported the company’s broader sustainability and waste diversion target of consistent diversion of ninety percent across projects by 2025.
Chandos positioned Autodesk BuildingConnected to increase collaboration, drive efficiency, and reduce bidding risk, and the broader Autodesk Construction Cloud toolchain helped the firm complete work under budget and ahead of schedule as reported. The firm accepted implementation risk as part of an innovation mindset, using the Autodesk BuildingConnected deployment to scale lean practices and collaborative construction across its project portfolio.

| Bluebeam | Legacy | Bluebeam Revu | Collaboration | Collaboration | n/a | 2021 | 2021 |
In 2021, Chandos Construction implemented Bluebeam Revu. The deployment positioned Bluebeam Revu as the primary Collaboration platform to centralize project documentation and enforce standardized project controls across construction operations.
Configuration work emphasized document drawing control and structured review workflows, leveraging Bluebeam Revu for PDF markup, drawing log management, shop drawing review, and consolidated tracking of Change Orders, Site Instructions, Owner's Instructions and draft Progress Claims. Project coordinators used Bluebeam Revu to maintain accurate RFI, vendor and subcontractor logs, and to codify naming conventions and document versioning for shop drawing document control and field notices.
Operational use was aligned with existing office tooling and reporting procedures, with Bluebeam Revu used alongside Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Adobe for exporting reports, assembling cost reports and compiling project status reports. The implementation covered core business functions including project coordination, contract administration, procurement tracking, payroll and timekeeping coding, and safety reporting, supporting both field teams and office-based project administrators.
Governance practices were updated to require maintained logs for RFIs, purchase orders and owner communications, tracked response workflows, and structured management of trade contractor site meetings, RFIs and invoices through the Bluebeam Revu-driven document control process. The rollout codified responsibilities for project reporting procedures, document controls and compliance review activities such as plan reviews for plumbing, mechanical, electrical and structural code adherence.
