In 2002, Chuan Hup implemented Times Leave, deploying Times Leave as its Absence and Leave Management solution across the organization. The deployment centralized leave administration for a Singapore construction and real estate firm with 120 employees, bringing HR and operational leave processes into a single application. The implementation matched Absence and Leave Management functional requirements for entitlement management and approval workflows.
Configuration work focused on core Times Leave modules, including leave request and approval workflows, entitlement and accrual rules, automated leave balance calculations, and reporting for HR compliance. Role based approvals and policy driven entitlements were configured to align with company leave policies, and exportable reports were provisioned to support administrative work using Microsoft Word and Excel. The implementation emphasized straightforward user interfaces appropriate to the company size and skills profile.
Operationally the Times Leave deployment supported HR and payroll adjacent activities while coexisting in an environment where staff used Paymaster and SAP R/3 and standard desktop tools such as Microsoft Outlook. Governance centered on HR managed approval chains and centralized policy configuration within Times Leave, with a single enterprise instance supporting core administrative functions. Times Leave served as Chuan Hup's principal Absence and Leave Management application in 2002.
