Configuration work emphasized GL accounting mapping maintenance, GL to subledger reconciliation controls, and conversion level financial reconciliation at the GL and subledger tiers, alongside functional testing and user acceptance testing cycles.
Integrations include an Open Item Data Mart integration and reconciliation oversight, plus interfaces between PeopleSoft Financials and other integrated systems used by the finance organization. The implementation supported Accounts Receivable Target Operating Model rollout activities in Asia Pac, data mapping and transactional flow analysis, and the use of queries and BI reporting tools for reconciliation and issue investigation.
Governance and operational support were organized around a dedicated finance systems accountant role responsible for incident and request management, liaison with the Oracle PeopleSoft ERP support team for escalations, administration of PeopleSoft Financials including change requests, data mapping, user access and security administration, and preparation and delivery of user training.
