Configuration emphasized recurring monthly journal entries, bank reconciliations, and maintenance of payroll-based journal reports to support facility level reporting and corporate consolidation.
Operational coverage included centralized payroll processing and reporting for approximately 1500 employee payroll calculations, oversight of payroll posting at each facility, and production of payroll related financial statements for wages, taxes, and deductions. The finance team used QuickBooks accounting management to deliver reporting assistance to department heads, support PBJ reporting, and ensure timely posting of payroll-based journal reports to the CMS website.
Governance was structured around monthly close and reconciliation processes, engagement with external auditors to support annual close activities, documented resolution of account inconsistencies through adjustments and paperwork evaluation, and training of new staff on Payroll and PBJ reporting. Corporate Financial Controller and payroll management retained operational ownership of payroll processing, journal posting, and audit support within the Intuit QuickBooks Online ERP Financial environment.
