In 2018, Cigweld implemented Epicor iScala as its ERP Financial system. The deployment targeted the manufacturer’s onsite operations in Preston, Victoria, Australia, and focused on stabilizing core finance and operational data flows within the business.
Epicor iScala was configured and customized to support pricing management and transactional finance processes, with explicit work on pricing upload and testing. Technical staff developed and maintained complex SQL queries and automated reporting processes to deliver timely financial and operational insights, and the system configuration included end-user training and troubleshooting to support daily transaction processing.
Configuration activity ran in parallel with a Blue Yonder WMS engagement, with the project team executing project planning, user acceptance testing, and post-go-live support for both platforms. Cross-functional collaboration was emphasized, with reporting, operations, and finance stakeholders engaged to translate business requirements into iScala configuration and reporting solutions.
Governance included formal user acceptance testing cycles, pricing validation workflows, and a structured post-deployment support model that covered system support, report generation training, and ongoing configuration adjustments. Epicor iScala served as the ERP Financial backbone for finance, pricing, and operational reporting, while on-premise operational support and data automation reduced manual reporting effort through scripted queries and automated report distribution.
