In 2016, City of Berne upgraded GivenHansco Keystone Accounting to Boyce Key-Fund. The Board approved Clerk-Treasurer Gwen Maller to proceed with the upgrade at a cost of $6,750, the promotional price available only through 2016.
Boyce Key-Fund is the municipal finance application implemented under the Government ERP category, delivering fund accounting, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting and municipal reporting capabilities that are standard for Government ERP solutions. The deployment concentrated on municipal accounting workflows and financial control functions used by the Clerk-Treasurer office and municipal finance personnel.
Board-level approval established procurement and budget governance for the upgrade, creating a defined procurement window driven by the promotional pricing in 2016. Implementation scope focused on transitioning the city accounting platform to Boyce Key-Fund and aligning accounting workflows and reporting to the new application, with configuration and user onboarding led by the Clerk-Treasurer.
