ShopSite Legacy ShopSite Shopping Cart Shopping Cart Management eCommerce Intersoft Group 2003 2004
In 2003 Cleveland Zoological Society implemented ShopSite Shopping Cart as the off-the-shelf Shopping Cart Management solution to launch an independent website and to support online membership and donation flows in the United States. The ShopSite Shopping Cart deployment was positioned as the organization’s primary ecommerce shopping and donations engine for fundraising and membership operations. The implementation concentrated on shopping cart functionality, donation processing, and membership renewal workflows, with configuration of product and membership catalogs, checkout orchestration, and payment flow automation consistent with Shopping Cart Management best practices. ShopSite Shopping Cart was configured to manage online membership renewals and recurring donation touchpoints, aligning front end web flows with backend fundraising processes. Intersoft Group served as the system integrator and performed the ecommerce programming work to embed ShopSite Shopping Cart into the new site, delivering the integration between the website front end and the cart and donation workflows. The deployment used the out of the box ShopSite Shopping Cart codebase augmented by custom programming from Intersoft Group to adapt membership and donation forms to the Cleveland Zoological Society site. Project activity ran from early 2003 to mid 2004, with Intersoft Group executing programming and rollout tasks during that period. The ShopSite Shopping Cart implementation significantly increased online donations and membership renewals, reflecting direct impact on the organization’s fundraising and membership management functions.
