Operationally the system was adopted by the dispatch department and field technicians to improve routing, schedule emergency jobs to the closest technician, and provide clients with accurate arrival times without distracting drivers. The minute by minute location capability supported vehicle recovery when one truck was stolen, enabling dispatch to provide a live report to police as the vehicle crossed multiple suburbs, and resulting in recovery and an arrest. Governance and process changes focused on tighter timekeeping and route oversight, with dispatchers using live map visibility to assign work and managers using Hours Worked reporting to detect time card discrepancies. Julie Hestand, General Manager, reported that payroll leakage was stopped for several employees, noting that the payroll saved for one employee would equal half of what the company spends per month on the program, and that security and fuel control features reinforced ongoing operational discipline.
