EmploymentHero Legacy EmploymentHero SmartMatch Recruiting HCM n/a 2019 2019
In 2019, Connecting Families implemented EmploymentHero SmartMatch to accelerate hiring within its Recruiting function. The Australia based disability support services provider embedded EmploymentHero SmartMatch into an end-to-end recruitment workflow covering candidate screening through onboarding. The deployment focused on SmartMatch screening and shortlisting automation, ingesting job details to produce relevance ranked candidate lists and enabling keyword driven search filters to refine results. EmploymentHero SmartMatch was used for automated candidate matching, reusable shortlists for recurring postings, and candidate rediscovery to reconnect with prior applicants. Operational coverage centered on the recruitment team responsible for hiring disability support workers, a high volume intake scenario where recruiters processed 10 to 20 candidates per day. Connecting Families reported hiring over 20 candidates sourced via EmploymentHero SmartMatch, and the shortlist feature was used to surface previous applicants for new or recurring roles. Governance and workflow were adjusted to make EmploymentHero SmartMatch the first line screening gate, reallocating recruiter time from manual resume triage to interviews and onboarding tasks. Recruiters kept control of interview and selection decisions while SmartMatch enforced job brief criteria and filter logic during initial screening, supporting a hiring cadence of three to four placements per week. Reported outcomes included screening time savings of 30 to 45 minutes per candidate and more than 30 hours saved weekly, with internal feedback indicating hiring speed improved without compromising candidate quality. EmploymentHero SmartMatch also improved candidate experience through faster follow up and more consistent shortlisting for recurring job postings.
