In 2017 CoolDrive Auto Parts implemented Pronto XI Avenue eCommerce to establish an enterprise eCommerce channel supporting its parts distribution business. The deployment targeted a high-volume product catalog of over 400,000 parts and was positioned to serve CoolDrive Auto Parts retail and trade customers across its multi-branch footprint, aligning the Pronto XI Avenue eCommerce application with the companys distribution operations and commercial teams.
The Pronto XI Avenue eCommerce implementation emphasized core eCommerce capabilities, including product catalog management, complex pricing and account-specific price visibility, online order capture and checkout workflows, and inventory availability presentation. The configuration supported trade-focused features typical of the eCommerce category, such as account login for trade customers, pricing tiers, and catalog segmentation to reflect CoolDrives broad parts and accessories portfolio.
The solution was deployed within the Pronto Software ecosystem to synchronize master data and transactional flows, enabling Pronto XI Avenue eCommerce to consume product masters, pricing constructs, and stock status used by branch operations. Operational coverage included branch sales and field sales representatives who continued to enter customer records into PRONTO files and capture orders, with the eCommerce channel providing an additional sales and order-capture touchpoint for both external customers and internal sales staff.
Governance and process changes focused on integrating online order workflows with existing branch fulfilment and sales processes, updating catalog and marketing content workflows to support frequent product and promotion updates, and aligning customer account maintenance between field sales activity and the eCommerce channel. Implementation planning accounted for multi-branch operations across Australia, New Zealand and China and prioritized operational continuity for order entry, pricing accuracy and inventory visibility.
