| Workday | Legacy | Workday HCM | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018, CoorsTek implemented Workday HCM to deliver Core HR capabilities across its global manufacturing operations. The Workday HCM deployment spanned HR, Payroll, Benefits, Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, Talent Management and Absence Tracking, aligning the application to primary human capital and payroll business functions.
The implementation included configuration of functional modules for compensation planning, absence management workflows, recruiting and talent processes, and benefits administration. The project leveraged Workday Studio and a mix of integration models and connectors to support transaction exchange and process automation typical of Core HR deployments.
Integration scope was extensive, with over 60 integrations implemented and data converted from more than 15 sites, covering nine countries and five languages. The conversion required detailed mapping to existing PeopleSoft Financials 9.1 and PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 database structures, tables and fields for the modules being onboarded.
Program governance centered on dedicated Integration Lead and Conversion Lead roles that managed data conversion, integration patterns and cutover sequencing, enabling the conversion and implementation to be completed in nine months. Operational coverage included global HR and payroll functions across manufacturing sites, with controls focused on integration validation and cross-functional process alignment.
