Cayenta Legacy Cayenta ERP ERP Financial ERP Financial Management n/a 2013 2013
In 2013, CORE Electric Cooperative implemented Cayenta ERP as its ERP Financial system to centralize accounting, work order and job costing workflows. The deployment targeted the cooperative formerly known as Intermountain Rural Electric Association and focused on finance and operational accounting functions. Configuration and functional work included General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Job Costing and Work Order Management modules within Cayenta ERP, with documented business process changes to align financial postings to work order and asset transactions. The project also defined accounting period workflows and internal control checkpoints consistent with standard ERP Financial operations. Project staffing placed accounting subject matter experts in the primary testing and issue resolution role, and the implementation team collaborated with external consultants to develop Cognos reports for financial monitoring. Companywide accounting processes were included in the rollout, and internal training programs were developed and delivered to finance and operational staff for the Cayenta ERP modules. Governance elements included a formal change management plan, classroom and hands on software training, and the establishment of internal control guidelines for the Cayenta Utility Software System, with finance and controller functions retaining operational ownership of configuration, testing and rollout oversight.
