In 2012 Cosatto deployed Sage 200 as its ERP Financial application to support merchandising, purchasing, inventory and accounts functions. The implementation was used directly by the Merchandising Manager to set up new products, manage stock levels and raise purchase orders as part of day to day procurement execution.
Functional use of Sage 200 focused on product master data configuration, inventory management, purchase order processing and accounts payable invoice processing for PO invoices. Forecast consumption files and an Excel based MRP and forecasting sheet were retained and used alongside Sage 200, creating a hybrid workflow that combined spreadsheet-driven demand planning with ERP transactional posting.
Operational workflows touched Merchandising, Operations, Accounts, Product Development, Quality Control, Sales and the UK warehouse, with POs raised in Sage 200 then booked onto vessels by the forwarder from China and managed into the UK warehouse. Sage 200 provided the transactional backbone for procurement and invoice processing while cross-functional teams coordinated logistics, supplier readiness and new product critical path outside the ERP system.
Governance and process changes included initiation of a Sales and Operations Planning process to better align forecasting and procurement timing, weekly stock availability reporting to Sales and regular customer forecasting meetings. Outcome level impacts recorded during this period included a reported £40,000 reduction in working inventory and a stock turn of 4 while continuing to fulfill customer orders.

| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft 365 | Collaboration | Collaboration | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015, Cosatto implemented Microsoft 365 to establish a cloud-first Collaboration platform for internal communications and content workflows. Public site references indicate Cosatto was using Microsoft 365 on their website, confirming the application presence in the company technology footprint.
The Microsoft 365 deployment for Cosatto is described in terms consistent with Collaboration class implementations, and likely centers on Exchange Online for email, SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business for document storage and content management, Microsoft Teams for chat and meetings, and the Office productivity suite for authoring. Microsoft 365 is positioned to support marketing content, product asset management, and standard office productivity across a small retail organization.
Architecturally the implementation reads as a tenant-based SaaS deployment, with centralized user and license administration and cloud-hosted services delivering mail, file and collaboration workloads. Identity and access controls are aligned with Microsoft 365 tenancy practices, enabling single sign on and role based access for employees and contractors.
Operational scope spans core business functions including marketing, e-commerce support, operations and internal communications, with governance focused at the tenant and admin console level for user provisioning, document lifecycle and sharing policies. Governance and rollout for a 71 person UK retailer is consistent with consolidated tenant administration, license management, and content governance tied to the Microsoft 365 Collaboration environment.

| Shopify | Legacy | Shopify | eCommerce | eCommerce | n/a | 2021 | 2021 |
In 2021 Cosatto implemented Shopify as its eCommerce platform on the public Cosatto website. The deployment uses Shopify as the application to provide a hosted storefront and centralized administrative console for product presentation, pricing, and order capture. Shopify eCommerce serves as the operational backbone for online retail activities, consolidating web storefront rendering, checkout flows, and order entry into a vendor-managed environment. The implementation positions Shopify as the primary commerce interface for customer-facing transactions and catalog management.
Functional capabilities aligned to the eCommerce category include storefront rendering, product catalog management, shopping cart and checkout, order management, inventory controls, and promotional merchandising through the Shopify administrative UI. Operational ownership centers on commerce, marketing, and operations teams who use Shopify to publish catalog updates, manage listings, and process online orders for the United Kingdom-based retailer. The solution is implemented directly on Cosatto’s website and is configured to support end-to-end online sales workflows and fulfilment coordination. Governance is exercised through centralized admin controls in Shopify, standardizing product and order workflows across the organization.
